Reviews
growing university Misrata University is considered new (est. 1984). However, it has a relatively good faculty. most of them got their graduate degrees in the US, Canada, and UK. student to faculty ratio is acceptable in general (about 15:1), but it increases in some colleges and decreases in others. one of the big flaws in the university is that it doesn't have a campus. but rather, it is consisted of colleges located in different places throughout the city. the administrative building is also separated far from all the other colleges. Currently, the student body is fast increasing and most of the faculty are pursuing higher study abroad, which causes a lack of faculty. I guess if I have a chance to review it again in about 6 to 10 years, it's definitely gonna be better off. Pros: great climate, low cost of living, friendly colleagues Cons: long work hours, large class sizes, shared office space, poor parking, outdated technology, lack of transparency I would NOT recommend to a friend. |
